English and French Teacher

Dear Madam, Sir, I am a 2nd year student in the Integrated Master of Veterinary Medicine program at Egas Moniz – School of Health & Science in Lisbon. I am a native French who grew up in France under the influence of multiple nationality such as French, British and Luxemburgish. I had the opportunity to spend a total of 6 months in host family the United States between 2017 and 2020. That allowed me to gain full proficiency in English and to open my mind to new cultures. My studies in Portugal also provide me with practical laboratory and field experience in English, as well as a good understanding of problem-based learning. I have long been in languages and started to learn English when I was just a kid. I've always been interested in teaching and thus took the opportunity to give lessons Private English lessons in high school. Then I enrolled into an English-speaking university in Portugal as a French student. Prior to starting my studies, I completed four internships in small animal veterinary clinics in France, Luxembourg, and the United States. These experiences allowed me to face multiple languages, speak and learn even more about the technical French and English vocabulary. It also taught me to listen to people's concerns and explain complicated procedures in a simplified way just as we need to explain concepts when teaching. I believe that my strong interest in languages, cultural differences, and my will to conduct teach, combined with my strong work ethic, makes me a good fit for your program.
